Intuitive Music Making Workshops

Broad-minded's forward thinking electronic music workshops cater for a variety of users and age groups, ranging from age 9-16, adults and other aspects of community learning.  

Areas we cover include;

  • SME's - Sound Management Workshop (Staff Team building)

  • Learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities

These workshops focus on the participant being imaginative, learning new skills and being expressive whilst making electronic music. No experience of using a musical instrument is required as the devices and teachings cater for an intuitive experience.  The workshops have a maximum of 10 people involved using grooveboxes, midi keyboards and software such as ableton live.  The workshops vary from 2 hours up to a full day.  With on-going sessions and courses also available.

Sound Management (Staff Away Days)

This half day (2 hours) or full day workshop (4 hour) focuses on producing a short track using groove boxes, in pairs to aid team bonding, learning new skills and having fun away from the usual working day.

For all workshops prices will vary depending on equipment required, distance travelled, type of group/workshop, number of learners (Max 10), resources required and preparation time. Reduced rates are available for continual sessions or courses. Price guide is below....

Create a short section of a track using 6 instruments parts such as bass, lead melody, Kick Drum, Snare Drum and 2 more percussion sounds. Use the mixer to perform your track live.

Taster day  (4 hs) 

3rd Sector - £240+

Corporate - £500+

Create a couple of sections of a track using 6 instruments parts such as bass, lead melody, Kick Drum, Snare Drum and 2 more percussion sounds.  Also add your own effects and perform your short track in full using the mixer
